Not really; the weather was humid. No heat, which was nice, but the muggy could have gone and so could have the mosquito's. I have 9, yes 9 just around my right knee! The mosquito had a true feast!!
In the muggy nasty-ness I took Scott and Amanda's family pictures. We had a great time at Ernie Miller. My favorite place to shoot besides the bottoms. They had never beed there so it's always a treat to take a family there. Look what they discovered right in their backyard.
Well not really.
Okay, this might get a bit confusing but stick with me. Scott and Amanda met in college, fell deeply in love and got married! I met Amanda at the beginning of the summer when I reached out to my mommy-church group organization to see if anyone wanted to join me on my Beth Moore Bible study of Ester. She was one of the 4 girls who joined in, and what a blessing it has been! THEN low and behold Amanda starts talking about her husband, Scott, which I went to high school with. AND THEN I took their pictures on Friday and Scott and I realized that we didn't just go to high school together but elementary and jr. high.
Did you keep up?
Scott and Amanda have two little girls, Bella 6, Bianca 4, and baby boy bumblebee on the way. They're keeping the name a secret, which by the way this is so fun to do! I know because that what we did with our third one. But you never know they might just be fooling you and bumblebee IS his name!
Besides the bug bites, the company of good friends, and muggy weather. I don't think I can begin to describe what it feels like to take a shower with your clothes on, but keep the clothes dry. Yup that's what it was like. I've never left a shoot literally drenched. My shirt was soaked where my camera and bag strap lay. It was gross. I came home peeled my clothes off and jumped into a fresh shower.
Oh yeah, pictures! We took some of those.
It was what I call a combo shoot. One where we took some family pictures, maternity type pictures and of course lovey ones. Can't forget why this whole thing started!!
I just loved my new parasol in the pictures! I wish I would have bought another one since they're only made out of paper.
See, see why I just love this park? These next ones are some of my favorite from the shoot. They were some of the last, but I just have so much fun when I get to pull the mama aside and do something fun, funny, and fantastic!
Shhh, don't tell anyone but I think Amanda had fun too even though I put her in uncomfortable poses, muggy weather and mosquitoes.
We ended out night with a beautiful prayer thanking the Lord for the family, baby, helpers and somewhat cooler weather. What an amazing family that the Lord has brought into my life!
I would also like to thank Tara for helping me out last min with all those behind the camera things that need to go on. I couldn't have done it with out you girl.
Call me anytime! I had fun helping!- Tara
