{Pretty, Pretty}

Ok, so I haven't been on here a lot and here's why....

Yep, a bathroom remodel always sounds like fun until you dive with both feet in and end up somehow hitting your head on the bottom!  We are deep into this project. My sister came over to help the other day and I don't think she knew what she really signed up for!

Strip, sand, paint, varnish.  You name it I put her to work.  I can't wait for it to be done!  Probably a couple weeks out since the geek guy HAS to go to Germany for a week for work.

Still sad I'm not going!

So our bathroom...started with some paint, and besides ripping out the sinks and tub (I really want to), is getting a whole make over.  I guess we're keeping the nasty floor too.  See, when we do the sink and tub we'll probably do the floor.  Sounds like a good plan to me.

The project is going slower than I had hoped it would, but the kitchen is staying clean and the laundry is getting done.  Anyone who has done a house project remodel of any kind is cheering me on right now because they know how impossible these things are!  (Plus three little ones running around) I'm exhausted just typing that all out!

I've also completed this little side project and put a few up on etsy.  Hair barrettes for April.  Thanks to my friend Stefanie.  I just love that gal!  I kept most for April, but the ones I didn't want I thought I'd try to sell.  Keep the shop open for all the other craft stuff I've been wanting to sell too!

Always crafting something.

My big first grader!

Yep, first day of school and it's raining, poring, boy do I wish I was snoring.  We are NOT used to getting up! That's Ethan, Geek Guy, and Sterling walking up to school.
The other thing adding to my stress this week and rockin' my world is I started the bathroom thing the week school starts.  Yeah, I decided I would play super mom.  While one less child is good...that child entertained the 4 year old now at my feet.  Not much getting done in the bathroom, which by the way belongs to those children and have now taken over my bathroom.

So, if you're wondering if this mom dropped off the face of the planet?  I didn't.  Maybe just got lost in the bathroom, laundry, kitchen, a school backpack, other side project, and getting the geek guy ready to leave the country.

Wish me luck everyone, wish me luck!

{grab bag special} again!

Okay folks!! Even though I really would like more time for baby bumblebee to be the highlight of my blog...it's time to move on!

I once again have something for you all to fight over!!  Remember the first person to comment, hopefully without problems, will get this item.

This is a very cute summery purse.  It is more white.  I couldn't get my pics just right, but it is what it is.
The strap can snap off so you can choose to cary a cute cluch. The inside is navy blue and there are no stains anywhere on or in the purse.  It came from Target a few years ago.  I used it for just one summer, but once again is taking up space.

I love purses.  Wait no.  I LOVE purses!  But I only keep one tub and there is no more room for new ones in my tub and so more have got to find another shoulder to ride on!

Hope someone out there will love on my old purse!

{baby bumblebee}

Friday night was wonderful!

Not really; the weather was humid.  No heat, which was nice, but the muggy could have gone and so could have the mosquito's.  I have 9, yes 9 just around my right knee!  The mosquito had a true feast!!

In the muggy nasty-ness I took Scott and Amanda's family pictures.  We had a great time at Ernie Miller.  My favorite place to shoot besides the bottoms.  They had never beed there so it's always a treat to take a family there.  Look what they discovered right in their backyard.

Well not really.

Okay, this might get a bit confusing but stick with me.  Scott and Amanda met in college, fell deeply in love and got married!  I met Amanda at the beginning of the summer when I reached out to my mommy-church group organization to see if anyone wanted to join me on my Beth Moore Bible study of Ester.  She was one of the 4 girls who joined in, and what a blessing it has been!  THEN low and behold Amanda starts talking about her husband, Scott, which I went to high school with.  AND THEN I took their pictures on Friday and Scott and I realized that we didn't just go to high school together but elementary and jr. high.

Did you keep up?

Scott and Amanda have two little girls, Bella 6, Bianca 4, and baby boy bumblebee on the way.  They're keeping the name a secret, which by the way this is so fun to do!  I know because that what we did with our third one.  But you never know they might just be fooling you and bumblebee IS his name!

Besides the bug bites, the company of good friends, and muggy weather.  I don't think I can begin to describe what it feels like to take a shower with your clothes on, but keep the clothes dry.  Yup that's what it was like.  I've never left a shoot literally drenched.  My shirt was soaked where my camera and bag strap lay.  It was gross.  I came home peeled my clothes off and jumped into a fresh shower.

Oh yeah, pictures!  We took some of those.
It was what I call a combo shoot.  One where we took some family pictures, maternity type pictures and of course lovey ones.  Can't forget why this whole thing started!!

I just loved my new parasol in the pictures!  I wish I would have bought another one since they're only made out of paper.

See, see why I just love this park?  These next ones are some of my favorite from the shoot.  They were some of the last, but I just have so much fun when I get to pull the mama aside and do something fun, funny, and fantastic!

Shhh, don't tell anyone but I think Amanda had fun too even though I put her in uncomfortable poses, muggy weather and mosquitoes.

We ended out night with a beautiful prayer thanking the Lord for the family, baby, helpers and somewhat cooler weather.  What an amazing family that the Lord has brought into my life!

Thanks once again to Amanda and Scott.  I truly had an amazing time with the four of you!  You are such an amazing family!  I look forward to our time in the future together as family friends.
I would also like to thank Tara for helping me out last min with all those behind the camera things that need to go on.  I couldn't have done it with out you girl.

{grab bag special}

I've decided that my house needs some cleaning out and that some of the things that I want to get ride of I'd put up here for all of you to have first dibs!

Ahh, aren't I nice?  :)

This will range in items.  Household stuff to kid clothes.  Some will be for a small price and some will be things that I'm just wanting to get rid of!

So....to start us off is a picture of a light house.  This is a very nice framed picture.  You know, the heavy-duty-kind?  We got this for our wedding and our bathroom in our old house was blue and white with light houses.  It was really cute, but when we moved we didn't redecorate that way and it has been sitting in a closet for 4 years now.  I'm not the kind of person to hold on to things, and this is just taking up space.  We are trying to become minimalists.  We really like the look!

So, the first person who leaves a comment saying they want this for their walls will get it.  If you live in town it's yours free.  If I have to ship it I will ask you to pay the shipping.

Trust me, this NEEDS someones nice wall to hang on.  Instead of my dark, cold, lonely closet.
And that closet is cold in the winter!

{overdue project done}

Ok, this one isn't on my 101 things to do, in 1001 days list, but it SHOULD be!

Would it be bad if I added it just to check it off?

Over the past few days we've been cleaning up the basement.
Trust me.  MUCH needed.  I'd like to know who's basement doesn't need a good overall!  Anyone?  Anyone?

Well during this cleaning I came  across the basket of yarn that I have.  Yep I USED to crochet and my freshman college roommate, Sandy, taught me.  Thanks Sandy!  Anyway, I knew in the back of my head that I had two unfinished projects.  One, Ethan's baby blanket.  Yes, I'm a horrible mother.  He's almost 7 years old and I don't even have his baby blanket finished.  And two, a scarf that I started and then started to take apart because I didn't like the way it was turning out.  Too wide or something.

Yep, these are the pieces  of Ethan's baby blanket.  I promise I'll finish it and when I do it'll be up here.

So, after a few hours of trying to remember how my fingers worked with the yarn and the needle I finally succeeded in doing a few stitches!

JOY to the WORLD, the LORD helped me finish something!  Shocker with three kids around! 6, 4, and 20 months it seems like almost everything is impossible and almost nothing gets done, but low and behold I  turned my once going-to-be scarf into a baby pod or ca-coon.  It's hard to tell in the picture but this is soooo soft and thick.  Good to keep a newborn nice and warm.

YEA!!  (insert big smiley face)  Big HUGE smiley face!

And I have more!!!  The first person who has a baby who lets me use it will get 25% off their order, and 1/2 off their sitting fee!  I just love newborns!

I even bought some new yarn the other day so I can create another new baby prop.  I forgot how relaxing it is to crochet.  With this pretty yarn what do YOU think I should make???
