Ok, so as I said before Jacob just wouldn't cooperate with me when I tried to shoot him the first time.  So, we tried again....

try, try again and you shall succeed!  And succeed we did!  It may have taken 5 hours, but oh what we got was amazing.

Amanda is such a lucky gal...she knows not one, but two great photographers!  Bekha Bowman and myself got together with Amanda to do one big photo shoot!  I know Bekah through my Knowing Mom's group, which you've heard me talk about.  Love that group! And then we are in a group called PUG, Photographers User Group.  That's a good group of people too!

So, I know Bekha, but I didn't really know her, but this past Saturday she joined Amanda, Jacob and I for a shoot.  I loved getting to know her even more.

I feel a friendship blossoming in the works!

Jacob was such a perfect little baby.  He ate, he pooped (on several props!) he SLEPT!  I can't wait to do another baby shoot.

Ok, you hear that all.  Someone needs to have a baby!  I'm not, repeat not having another one!!

I wish I could Bekha's pictures side by side with mine so you all could see the difference.  Even though our shutters were going off at the same time the pictures are SO different!  I just love that people can be so creative and so different at the same time.

Time for the good stuff! Oh, I had so many that I edited. Amanda your in luck! (they're not all on this blog though!)

We had the luck to have daddy Scott for the first 20min before he had to leave, but managed to capture some fun ones with his hands!

After that is was down to nursing and off to sleep!

Have I mentioned how much I love my backyard!  18 trees equals really cool woodsy feel!  (Especially when they haven't been maintained in about a year to do a siding/window project going on!)

I also love baskets and hats!

Overall we had such an amazing day so amazing that I forgot to end our session with prayer.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank you so much for such a precious little boy.  May you bless Jacob, his sisters, mother and father.  Thanks for giving Bekha such an awesome gift so that our talents bring us together as friends.  Lord keep watch over the grandparents of Jacob for safe travels and safe moving.  You're timing has been amazing in this wonderful story.
In your name, Amen

  1. I like the third pic...the one with him curled up. Something about the composition...the curvature... So cute!

  2. I keep coming back to the second one in the series of 3 outside by the tree. I think it is a great visualization of the vulnerability of a newborn baby. His fresh pale skin contrasts so beautifully against the earthy colors of the ground and plans. It brings out feelings of protectiveness and nurturing. It makes me think of the story of baby Moses...no wonder the Pharoah's daughter saved him when she found the poor defenseless baby Moses all alone in a basket. It's a beautiful image and it really says alot to me about how we feel human compassion.

  4. Although sleeping babies are precious, there is just something cute about the one where he is crying. We often only take pictures of the smiles and loving times, but crying is part of their life and I love that you caught it!
